Mr. Ronald "Bankie" King Jr. is the founder and manager of Shabazz Organics, a company he established in 2008 with the belief that “Safety is Everything.” Through Shabazz Organics, he is committed to providing locally grown organic produce at affordable wholesale prices while promoting healthier communities and sustainable farming practices.
A graduate of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) with an associate degree in Agricultural Science and Technology, Bankie has a strong passion for agriculture that began in childhood. He has worked as an Extension Officer with the Ministry of Agriculture in Nevis, where he provided technical support and training to farmers across the island.
His expertise includes hydroponics, greenhouse and shade house design, irrigation and fertigation systems, and organic fertilizer production. Beyond farming, Bankie is the founder and host of Everything Agriculture and co-host of De Topics, using these platforms to educate the public on agriculture, economic development, and food security issues in St. Kitts and Nevis. His mission is to help build a stronger, more sustainable future for local agriculture and food production.

Mr. Daniel Arthurton is a seasoned agricultural professional, economist, and business strategist with more than 40 years of experience supporting the development of St. Kitts and Nevis and the wider Eastern Caribbean. Educated in agriculture and resource economics, he has built a career focused on strengthening local agriculture, economic growth, and business development.
Over the years, Daniel has helped shape key agricultural initiatives, developed Nevis’s first agricultural marketing unit, and worked with regional and international organizations including the FAO, CARDI, USAID, and the OECS. He also spent 14 years at the ECCB, retiring in 2019 as Adviser for Growth and Competitiveness.
Today, Daniel remains active in agriculture and entrepreneurship as co-founder of one of the Federation’s first hydroponics operations, Nevis Hydro Gardens. He continues to mentor young people, provide consulting services, and share practical business and farming advice through his weekly radio program, Strategies for Business Success.

Through innovation and sustainable farming practices, he is committed to improving local food security while supplying homes, restaurants, hotels, and businesses with nutritious, locally grown leafy greens.
Driven by a passion for agriculture, technology and entrepreneurship, Richard continues to invest in modern farming technologies that increase efficiency, quality, and environmental sustainability. He believes that strengthening local agriculture is essential to creating healthier communities, reducing reliance on importation, and building a more resilient future for St. Kitts and Nevis.
